Q: I just made a massive brunch for my family, and I have so much leftover quiche, I could swim in it! How in the world do I reheat quiche so I don’t have to waste it?
A: Well, it sounds like you had quite the party! Fear not, all your hard work will not go to waste because reheating quiche is pretty simple, and it still tastes fantastic. As a note, because of it being egg based, you should not ever microwave it! It may turn out the first few times, but the moment you get an overcooked egg bite, you’ll regret it. Thus, the oven it is!
The Oven Method
When it comes to reheating egg products, the oven is the preferred method for the simple fact is it is even, consistent cooking.
The process stays the same if you are reheating a whole pie, or if you are reheating a single slice. Wrap the piece or cover the top of the pie with aluminum foil, and bake in the over at 325, for 25- 30 minutes.
Oven temperatures and times may vary from oven to oven, so be sure to check on it often. A thermometer is a great guide when it comes to reheating full pies; you want the internal temperature to be about 110 degrees. For slices, a quick touch test will be your best tool.
Reheating quiche is not as scary as many people make it out to be. It is an excellent all around meal and can be reheated quickly and painlessly with little effort.
How well did this method work for you? Did you do anything different?
Can I make mini quiche, freeze it, then reheat a week later?
