I recently visited KFC, and they gave me so much in one of their buckets, I wasn’t expecting that! How will I reheat the chicken to make sure it stays so crispy? Can you reheat Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)?

Can you reheat KFC?

The best way to reheat KFC is in the oven. You can use the microwave, but it leads to soggy skin, and no one likes that. However, if you have the option, a deep fryer does the trick as long as you are doing a small batch.

Oven

To reheat your chicken, line a baking sheet with foil and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Layer the chicken onto the foil and place into a warmed oven.

After about ten minutes, it would be a good idea to flip the pieces to ensure they don’t burn.

You should only have to bake the chicken, from refrigerator cold, for about 18 minutes.

Deep Fryer

The deep fryer is the tool of choice when it comes to keeping fried food crispy.

Start up the deep fryer and allow the oil to come to temperature, it should be on the highest setting as you need the chicken to warm through quickly as the skin will be getting more crunchy.

Allow the chicken to be in the oil for about five minutes, and then carefully flip to get one side away from the hottest oil. Be sure to keep an eye on them after about ten minutes of deep frying, sometimes it can burn the skin we all love so much making it into a crunchy, oily mess.

KFC is becoming more and more popular as we are looking for quick fixes for dinner. Now, you can quickly take your chicken to work and eat it cold, or reheat it on one of the ways we listed.
