Q: Mardi Gras is right around the corner, and I am looking to forward taking part of the festivals. My question is, is there a way to reheat beignets for my family, or are they are strictly, make and serve type food?
Q: While many of us can enjoy beignets over a few day period, you cannot reheat them without drying them out. Some will place them in the microwave, as you would soften bread, but this can only be done once. Your best option is to make them that day and serve them at room temperature or make them in small batches to enjoy them as they are made.
The Microwave
Since reheating them can be done, we are only listing it here for those who just need it warmed. To microwave your Beignet, simply place it on a microwave-safe plate, and microwave on power level three, for 20 seconds.
Some foods are better left at room temperature, and Beignets are one of them. If you need to, you can use the microwave, but it is better just to leave them be. If you want them warm, make them fresh as that is when they are best!
Do you know the best way to store them? Should they be refrigerated or out in a container?
